Role Overview

We’re looking for a Project Manager for our operations covering the Yorkshire region. Within this role you’ll Project Manage the network build across a defined set of regional structures, ensuring set Projects are delivered against the contractually agreed milestones and outcomes.

You’ll be accountable for the delivery program for your workstream, liaising with build partners, clients and our internal departments. As a seasoned line manager, you will lead a team of Network Delivery Managers, Supervisors and Engineers in achieving the programme delivery, ensuring Health & Safety and Quality standards, as well as client SLA’s are adhered to. Whilst you may not already be a Project Manager, you will meet the key requirements and, expertise in the Openreach network and architecture will be essential for this role.

Key Accountabilities

Project manage multiple projects within a workstream from inception to commissioning.

Lead a team of Network Delivery Managers, Supervisors and Engineers to meet the Clients Programme Delivery Portfolio.

Day to day line management of the Network Delivery Managers, to include performance management, coaching and development.

Provide input to quality audits and checks for your team ensuring equipment and certification are in line with Health & Safety legislation.

Monitor workload and distribution to ensure Project KPI’s are met.

Point of escalation for the workstream, ensuring all concerns are dealt in a prompt and professional manner, with a satisfactory resolution and a positive customer experience.

Manage technical aspects of the build.

Manage robust and accurate project plans, considering all dependencies at planning or build and proactively providing solutions where required.

Provide robust and timely updates, operational insights and analysis for defined projects using tools and systems appropriate for the project.

Oversee labour resource and budgets, ensuring the timely flow of work is inline with the capital programme for the project.

Attend client meetings as and when required.

Mobile visiting sites in and around the Yorkshire region.

Your Requirements

Telecoms background is essential.

Strong foundation in engineering, with expertise in delivery of PON structures (Passive Optical Network).

Proven line management experience.

Ability to lead, motivate and coach a team to successfully deliver results.

Experience of working collaboratively across an organisation, clients and partners.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal, written and presenting data.

Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering multiple projects within different and conflicting timelines to client’s satisfaction.

Understanding of project management methodology.

Ability to interpret data and create work schedules.

Results driven.

Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.

Full UK driving licence.
