We’re recruiting a Project Director to lead the delivery of Virgin Media projects across the Lincolnshire region.

The Project Director you will manages all strategic aspects of the Project, mitigating risks and aligning with both internal business objectives and those defined by our clients. You will oversee the Operational and Project Managers and all employees aligned to the project. You will consistently be reviewing the high-level deliverables across the project, ensuring engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures take place across delivery and in line with both our clients and Health & Safety Standards. Reporting on overall performance and opportunities for improvement and growth. You’ll provides leadership, developing, implementing, and maintaining sound business practices, whilst liaising with key stakeholders both internally and externally to develop and implement strategic objectives that are aligned with both the client and Light Source overall objectives.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities will include:

  • Lead a team of Operations Managers and employees aligned to all the Lincolnshire projects
  • Conduct 1-2-1 meetings, performance management and appraisals with direct reports
  • Work with Operations Managers to review auditing of all employees ensuring compliance
  • Engage with key stake holders to ensure alignment to core objectives
  • Manage customer urgent or high-profile escalations and complaints in a prompt and professional manner ensuring a positive customer service and satisfactory resolution
  • Deliver reporting on KPI’s and deliver detailed reasoning and opportunities to mitigate risk, improve service and drive revenue. Reporting revenue and profitability, providing accurate forecasting
  • Provides leadership and guidance where applicable to all employees across the project
  • Is proactive in identifying opportunities for strategic development of both the contract and the overall business to maximise opportunity and growth
  • Build sound long-term working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication to capitalise contract opportunities and growth
  • Champions change within the business effectively managing implementation of innovative ideas and opportunities.
  • Enforces policies, standards, and procedures
  • Lends expertise to internal teams

We are seeking applications with the following skills and experience:

  • Thorough understanding of KPI’s and SLA’s, with the ability to define strategies to drive performance and manage risk
  • Experience working with design schematics, duct diagrams and works instructions – Preferably hold existing BT accreditations or have previous BT experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting working relationships
  • Time Management with the ability to work to multiple tight deadlines
  • Understanding of risk management and quality
  • Working knowledge of IT and Microsoft products including Excel
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
  • Proven people management
  • Proven experience in the field with a thorough understanding of the network
  • Strong organisational skills, with an ability to multitask and prioritise workload
  • Ability to interpret data and flow charts and disseminate in a clear and concise manner for varying audiences
  • Ability to plan effectively and delegate appropriately
